Author of many historical studies on the Turkish-Armenian issue, the famous Turkish political scientist, Professor Hikmet Ozdemir visited the Baku State University. Professor Ozdemir gave to students of Baku State University a lecture on "The Armenian issue: 1915-2015 years." Turkish professor had an interesting parallel between the events of 1993 in Khojaly and massacres of civilians in eastern Anatolia in 1914-1916 years. Hikmet Özdemir drew students' attention to the fact that the bloody events in Turkey occurred in those years when there were not existing international treaties against the civilian population, while the Khojaly genocide was implemented at a time when the rights of civilians during any military action were clearly spelled out in relevant international instruments. Turkish historian noted that the Armenian organizations conduct their activities under the scheme, which is divided into four main areas - murder, mass killings of civilians, cooperate with the enemies of Turkey, and propaganda.
Turkish political analyst noted that it is important to bring together Turkish and Azeri historians in research of the Armenian issue. At the end of the meeting Hikmet Ozdemir answered the students questions.
