Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences has held a solemn ceremony to present a certificate of full member and a badge of the Academy to rector of Baku State University Abel Maharramov.

The outstanding Azerbaijani scientist was elected a full member of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2016.

Abel Maharramov is the author of 54 inventions, 51 textbooks, more than 1,000 articles and thesis. He is an honoured professor of the Moscow State University named after M.V.Lomonosov
